PUMS in the EURAXESS NETWORK 

PUMS from  7 January 2025, became a full member of the EURAXESS network — a pan-European initiative bringing together 43 European countries and 9 hubs from other continents. These centres strengthen scientific cooperation with the rest of the world, promote the European Research Area, and support researchers moving to and from Europe to conduct research across various organisations.

Members of EURAXESS exchange knowledge, experience, and best practices in order to expand and professionalise their activities. Membership in the network enables participation in European initiatives, projects, specialised training sessions, and events, as well as the opportunity to establish connections within the international EURAXESS community. Active participation in the network will enhance the internationalisation of our University, an important element of its development in the coming years.

The project “One Region, Wide Horizons – Euraxess Wielkopolska”

within the NAWA-EURAXESS Network 

Poznan University of Medical Sciences is the partner in the project, “One Region, Wide Horizons – Euraxess Wielkopolska" financed by the European Union as part of the project entitled: “Support for higher education and science institutions in serving foreign nationals and Poles going abroad” (project number: FERS.01.05-IP.08-0003/24 – FERS Projects – Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the NAWA-EURAXESS Network program.)

The Poznan University of Economics and Business is the project coordinator, and other partners are:

• Poznan University of Life Sciences
• Poznan University of Medical Sciences 
• Poznan University of Technology
• Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences

The project aims to develop a welcoming institutional environment in the Wielkopolska region for incoming international doctoral candidates, researchers, and their families. Its implementation is based on an analysis of the current situation in the region and on introducing solutions that strengthen cooperation and the internationalisation of higher education and research institutions within the Euraxess Wielkopolska network.

The project’s outcomes will include increasing the region’s competitiveness in the international academic and research market.
